Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 14th edition of Aero India 2023 at Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bengaluru today. Along with this, PM Modi also released a commemorative postage stamp on Aero India 2023. In the 14th edition of Aero India 2023, PM Modi said that defense is a sector whose technology, market, and vigilance are considered the most complex. Our target is to increase its export figure from 1.5 billion to 5 billion dollars by 2024-25.

In this journey, the defense sector has crossed many milestones of success, which have become pillars of strength in the future. Aero India is also one of those pillars. He said that India has emerged as a star in the global sky, which is not only shining brightly but also illuminating others with its radiance.

 

Air Force Chief led the formation of Gurukul

Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhary led the Gurukul formation during the flypast at the opening ceremony of Aero India 2023.

 

98 countries joined

The aero show being organized over an area of about 35,000 square meters, will be the largest ever. 98 countries have participated in it. Asia's largest aero show will showcase the country's progress in design leadership, growth in the UAV sector, defense space, and future technologies.

 

Defense Ministers from 32 countries also included

The event will be attended by Defense Ministers of 32 countries, Air Force Chiefs of 29 countries, and 73 CEOs of global and Indian OEMs. As per the report, 809 defense companies including MSMEs and start-ups will showcase advancements in niche technologies and growth in the aerospace and defense sector. Around half a million viewers are expected to attend the event and many millions more will join via television and the internet.
