Ranchi: The state government schools that will be opened after the lockdown have changed. At the same time, the academic session will also be short, which will run from 15 June 2020 to 31 March 2021. The education department has started preparing to open schools after the lockdown. For this, a proposal is being prepared by the Jharkhand Education Project. Under this, initially all the children will not be called to school for a day together. Preparations are also being made to follow social distancing among children to prevent the spread of corona infection.

The Jharkhand Education Project has sought information about the number of school-wise students and their seating arrangement from the districts. Two options are being considered to call the children when the school opens after the lockdown. Where children of different classes can be taught on different days, class-wise children will be called. At the same time, in schools where the number of children is more, children can be called according to the roll number.

About 42 lakh children from 1st to 12th grade are enrolled in the state government schools. Hand washing system to be done in schools: The system of water and soap for washing hands in schools is also being reviewed. In schools where there is no water, it will be arranged. Taps will be installed in schools. Consider giving masks to children.

The state government has prepared a new academic calendar from June 1. According to this, schools will be opened from June 1. From June 1, students of classes eight, ten and 12th will be called to school. Not all teachers will come during this time. In the class where 40 to 50 children used to sit, it has been instructed not to sit more than 15 children. A teacher will take a class equal to two bells. After this, regular classes from class one to 12th will be held from June 15.
