
After the arrival of 487 new cases of Covid-19 in Delhi, the infection rate in the city has gone up to 0.61 percent. This is the lowest number of new cases of infection in the national capital during the last two and a half months. On March 16 and 17, the number of new cases of infection in Delhi was 425 and 536 respectively.
According to the data released by the Health Department at around 3.30 pm, in the last 24 hours, 45 patients have died due to the disease and 1058 people have recovered from the infection. 80,046 tests have been done.
This is the fourth consecutive day when the infection rate in the national capital has been recorded below one percent. On Wednesday, 576 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported in Delhi. On Tuesday, 623 cases of Covid-19 were reported and 62 people died while the infection rate was below one percent.
On Monday, 648 cases of coronavirus infection were reported in the city and 86 patients died while the infection rate was 0.99 percent. At the same time, 946 new cases were reported in the national capital on Sunday and 78 patients died.
So far 14,27,926 people have been infected with a corona in Delhi and out of these 1394731 people have been cured. 24447 patients have died. The number of people undergoing treatment is 8748.
Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said that new cases of infection are coming down. There was a time when the number of new cases reached 28,000. Earlier, when the cases were fewer, then its number was 150-200, and even now the number of new cases is more than that. People should apply masks, follow the distance of two yards.
Black Fungal raised concern
Black Fungal has raised concerns amid reports of a steady decrease in new cases of corona in Delhi. Satyendra Jain said that till Wednesday, there have been 1,044 cases of black fungus in the national capital, while 89 people have died due to this infection. Pointing to the lack of medicines for the treatment of this infection, he said that so far 92 people have become free from black fungus.
