Many areas of North India including Delhi are troubled by the scorching heat. The mercury is touching around 40 degrees Celcius. According to the Meteorological Department, the situation is going to remain the same in the coming days as well. Lack of rain is being said to be the reason behind excessive heat. The worst condition of the summer is in Rajasthan. In many areas of the capital Delhi, people are facing heat waves and heatwave. In Rajasthan, the situation is very bad. It is getting hot in most of the areas. There is no hope of further relief. According to the Meteorological Department, this situation is going to remain in Central and West India for the next 4-5 days.

 

According to the Meteorological Department, due to prolonged dry weather, the heat has increased in Northwest India. Heatwave conditions are expected over Northwest, Central, and West India during the next four to five days. According to the IMD, hot winds are declared as 'loo' when the temperature in the plains is more than 40 degrees Celsius or 4.5 degrees Celsius above normal. A 'severe heatwave' is declared when the temperature is 6.4 degrees above normal.

According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature of Delhi today is 20 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature may remain 40 degrees Celsius. The heatwave is expected. At the same time, on April 1, there will be a slight change in the weather in the capital and strong winds will blow.

 

Know- why has the heat suddenly increased?

 

The heat has increased in Delhi due to less rain in March. According to department officials, March receives an average of 15.9 mm of rain. On March 30 last year, the city's maximum temperature was recorded at 40.1 degrees Celsius, the highest in at least 13 years this month.

 

What's going to happen next?

 

On Thursday, heat wave-like conditions may prevail in some areas of Himachal Pradesh and East Uttar Pradesh. The same situation is likely to remain in the interiors of Madhya Maharashtra, Jharkhand, and Odisha till April 1. Gradually the heat is increasing continuously. Most parts of Rajasthan are in the grip of scorching heat. The Meteorological Department has warned that the heatwave will continue for a few days in most parts of the state. Under this, a yellow alert has been issued in most parts of the state.
