A 'severe heatwave' is declared when the temperature is 6.4 degrees above normal.
According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature of Delhi today is 20 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature may remain 40 degrees Celsius. The heatwave is expected.
