
E-commerce giant Amazon is preparing for massive layoffs globally. This process of retrenchment can start next week. Due to this layoff of the company, there is a danger of affecting the employees associated with the company on a large scale in India as well. Meanwhile, the Indian Labor Ministry has also taken a tough stand on this. A senior officer has been called to answer by issuing a notice in this regard on behalf of the Ministry of Labour.
Amazon is preparing to lay off ten thousand people
Amid reports of layoffs in giant IT companies like Twitter and Facebook, Amazon chief Jeff Bezos has also announced major layoffs. According to the report, the company is planning to send about ten thousand people working in the corporate and IT sector back home this week. According to media reports, a large number of Indian employees will also come under retrenchment. Explain that according to the data till 31 December 2021, the number of permanent and temporary employees in Amazon was about 16 lakhs.

Smita Sharma posted on this post and was summoned to answer on 23 September. It has been said in the notice that the details of the Voluntary Separation Program have been shared with the employees of the company by giving them a deadline of 30 November. Since then there is an atmosphere of fear among the employees.
Amazon has brought a voluntary separation program for employees
The VSP document sent by the company to the employees states that the company is implementing a Voluntary Separation Program, under which AET is temporarily available to the concerned employees of the organization. The employees of the Company shall have the facility to voluntarily resign from service instead of VSP benefits as given below. The company has given the employees time till 6.30 am (6.30 am) till 30 November, the last day of this month, to accept the offer. According to reports, the seeds of the company's employees are resentful due to this layoff plan.
