Israel has once again moved forward on a ceasefire proposal in the Israel-Hamas war that started in October. Israel has sent a proposal to Hamas terrorists that if they release all the hostages, then there will be no attacks on Gaza for the next two months. Generally speaking, Israel is ready for a ceasefire.
Proposal sent through Qatar and Egypt
According to news agency Reuters, Israel has made an offer to Hamas through mediators from Qatar and Egypt, which includes a two-month pause in hostilities as part of the agreement. The report, quoting two Israeli officials, said the deal would include the release of all remaining hostages held in Gaza.
'Our hostages must be released'
Two Israeli officials have claimed that the proposal has been presented to Hamas terrorists. However, till now no clarification has come from Israel, Qatar, or Egypt. According to the information, the Israeli Cabinet has recently approved a new proposal for a hostage agreement with the Palestinian-backed group Hamas.
Ceasefire happened earlier also
Even before this, there was a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel from 24 November to 30 November. During that time, hostages and prisoners were released from both sides. During that time, Hamas had released more than 100 hostages. However, after this, Israel had to release 240 Palestinian prisoners. At the same time, Israel said that 115 of its men, 20 women, and two children are still in the custody of Hamas.
