Shooting In America: A teenager was killed and another injured in a late-night shooting outside an Indianapolis shopping mall on January 3. Police have been informed about this. According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting occurred outside the Castleton Square Mall just before 8 p.m. The condition of the injured victim is stable at this time. A suspect has been taken into custody in this case.

According to the police, there was an altercation before the firing. Significantly, in July 2021, a person was shot inside this mall. Last year in 2022, there were at least two shootings at the Greenwood Park mall in the city's south.

Increasing shooting incidents in America

Firing in public places or crowded areas have become common in America. On November 20, 2022, a shooting took place at a nightclub in Colorado, USA. In this attack, 5 people died and more than 18 people were injured. For some time, there has been a significant increase in the incidents of gun attacks in America. In Texas, USA, in May 2022, an 18-year-old youth entered a school and shot dead 23 people, including 19 children.

What are the laws for buying a gun in America?

According to The Gun Control Act, 1968 (GCA) of the United States, the age of 18 is the age required to purchase a firearm or small arms, and 21 is for handguns. However, gun parts can be bought online without a license. In such a situation, criminals and children order gun parts online and get the gun ready. This is the reason that in America with a population of 330 million, common citizens have 390 million weapons.
