Police are continuously raiding in search of Khalistan supporter Amritpal Singh. Since Tuesday night, the police have put a blockade in Hoshiarpur in search of Amritpal. The police have still sealed the Hoshiarpur-Phagwara road. Police are not allowing any person to come nor are anyone allowed to go out of the village.
In search of Amritpal and his accomplice Papalpreet Singh, the police conducted a search operation in Marnaiya village, about ten kilometers from the city, till quarter to two on Tuesday night. After this, the search operation was started in the village of Harkhowal which continued till 2.30 am. According to sources, two youths have been detained, but the police have not confirmed this. An Innova (PB10CK-0527) car with a Ludhiana number plate has been recovered from the village of Marnaiya. It is being told that both the youths were traveling in the same car. On being chased by the police, they fled leaving the car behind.

Police have ended the search operation in Maranaiyan. Although the police are not ready to tell anything.

Near Marnaiyan village, the Innova car turned towards the village and two suspects fled after parking the car near the Gurudwara.

According to sources, weapons have also been found in the car, but the police are not telling anything yet.

Sources said that this evening the counterintelligence team was following a white-colored Innova car number PB10CK0527 which was coming from Phagwara to Hoshiarpur. It was feared that Amritpal Singh, the President's heir Punjab Dey and his companions could be in the car. On being found out, they were followed and the above suspects fled leaving the car at Gurudwara Bhai Chanchal Singh village. Police are searching for them in the village and surrounding areas.
