Amritpal Singh: Fugitive Amritpal surrounded in Hoshiarpur, Punjab? Police sealed the area; ongoing search operation

Police are continuously raiding in search of Khalistan supporter Amritpal Singh. Since Tuesday night, the police have put a blockade in Hoshiarpur in search of Amritpal. The police have still sealed the Hoshiarpur-Phagwara road. Police are not allowing any person to come nor are anyone allowed to go out of the village.

In search of Amritpal and his accomplice Papalpreet Singh, the police conducted a search operation in Marnaiya village, about ten kilometers from the city, till quarter to two on Tuesday night. After this, the search operation was started in the village of Harkhowal which continued till 2.30 am. According to sources, two youths have been detained, but the police have not confirmed this. An Innova (PB10CK-0527) car with a Ludhiana number plate has been recovered from the village of Marnaiya. It is being told that both the youths were traveling in the same car. On being chased by the police, they fled leaving the car behind.

Police have ended the search operation in Maranaiyan. Although the police are not ready to tell anything.

Two persons have been detained. The police force has gone to Phagwara. The recovered Innova vehicle is also reported to have been taken to Phagwara.

Police have removed the CCTV camera installed in Gurudwara Sahib of Marnaiyan and taken it with them.

Police have sealed the Hoshiarpur-Phagwara road.

Every house in the village is being searched.

The search operation is going on in the fields as well.

The police team was following from Phagwara.

Near Marnaiyan village, the Innova car turned towards the village and two suspects fled after parking the car near the Gurudwara.

The vehicle has been taken into custody by the police.

According to sources, weapons have also been found in the car, but the police are not telling anything yet.

ADGP Gurinder Singh Dhillon also reached the spot.

The area of more than two kilometers has been sealed.

A joint search operation has been launched by the police of Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, and Phagwara. The paramilitary force is also with you.

Sources said that this evening the counterintelligence team was following a white-colored Innova car number PB10CK0527 which was coming from Phagwara to Hoshiarpur. It was feared that Amritpal Singh, the President's heir Punjab Dey and his companions could be in the car. On being found out, they were followed and the above suspects fled leaving the car at Gurudwara Bhai Chanchal Singh village. Police are searching for them in the village and surrounding areas. Still have no clue.
