An encounter took place in the Tangpawa area of ​​Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir late on Sunday evening. According to the police, two terrorists have been killed so far in this encounter with the terrorists of Jammu and Kashmir Police and security forces. Due to the possibility of the presence of more terrorists in the area, the security forces have launched a search operation. Both the terrorists killed are said to be related to Lashkar-e-Taiba. At present, the identities of the two have not been disclosed by the police. Sources say that both the terrorists killed are locals.

 

So far four terrorists have been killed

 

Last week, four terrorists were killed in two separate encounters in a joint operation launched by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in Jammu and Kashmir\'s Shopian district during the visit of Home Minister Amit Shah, police said. Three terrorists were killed in an encounter last Tuesday night in the Drach area of ​​the Shopian district. After this, another local terrorist was killed in the Mulu area of ​​Shopian.

 

1 soldier injured

 

According to the army, the area has been cordoned off and firing is on from both sides. Let us inform you that shortly after the start of the encounter, 1 terrorist was killed. At the same time, 1 of our soldiers has been injured. One AK-47 rifle and other weapons have been recovered from the terrorist.

 

LeT terrorist killed

 

Earlier on the previous day, three local terrorists belonging to the banned terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) were killed in the first encounter in the Drach area of ​​Shopian. In contrast, a terrorist of the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) was killed in the second encounter between security forces and terrorists in the Mulu area of ​​Shopian early today.

 

Terrorists were involved in the murder of police officer Javed Dar

 

The two terrorists killed in yesterday\'s encounter have been identified as Hanan bin Yacoub and Jamshed. According to the police, they were involved in the recent murder of police officer Javed Dar in Pulwama. The police tweeted that the slain terrorists Hanan bin Yakub and Jamshed were recently involved in the killing of SPO Javed Dar in Pingalana, Pulwama on 2 October and an outside laborer from West Bengal in Pulwama on 24 September.
