Senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi, appearing for Arvind Kejriwal, told the Supreme Court that Kejriwal is withdrawing the petition in the Supreme Court because he has to appear during the day.

Justice Khanna told Singhvi, "You can first go to the trial court. Just write an e-mail to the registry." Singhvi said, "I will write a letter to the registry. I had to mention it again before this court so that it is convenient for your lordship."
The move came hours after Justice Khanna told Singhvi that Kejriwal's plea against his arrest would be heard by a three-judge bench during the day. Kejriwal had moved the Supreme Court late on Thursday night after being arrested by the ED.
