Azerbaijan invades Armenia: Bombs hit Karabakh area, 3 killed; Russia said - Azerbaijan broke the ceasefire

Posted on 4th Aug 2022 11:13 am by rohit kumar

The war between Armenia and Azerbaijan over Nagorno-Karabakh, the disputed area, started once again. According to the news agency, on August 3, Azerbaijan bombed Karbakh, killing three soldiers.

Armenia said that Azerbaijan has also occupied several areas of the region. In this regard, Russia has accused Azerbaijan of breaking the ceasefire.

However, Azerbaijan has denied all allegations. The army said - Armenia first attacked and killed one of our soldiers. We retaliated.

Russia had made a peace agreement

Russia signed a peace agreement between Armenia-Azerbaijan by Russian President Putin in November 2020. In 2020, there was a bloody conflict between the two countries for almost 6 months. During this time more than 6,500 people died. After this, both the countries signed a peace agreement at the behest of Russia.

Why the Azerbaijan-Armenia conflict?

The Nagorno-Karabakh region has been a dispute between Armenia and Azerbaijan for more than 20 years. No country recognizes it as an independent country.

Since 1988, both Eurasian countries have wanted to annex the Nagorno-Karabakh region.

The region is internationally part of Azerbaijan but has been occupied by ethnic groups from Armenia since 1994.

It is an important strategic area in the South Caucasus on the border of Iran, Russia and Turkey.

Pakistani and Turkish Factor

According to some media reports, Pakistani soldiers are allegedly helping Azerbaijan soldiers. At the same time, Armenian officials have repeatedly alleged that Azerbaijan is using Turkish drones and F-16 fighter jets in the attack.
