Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddiqui was shot dead in Mumbai on Saturday night. According to Mumbai Police, unknown gunmen attacked. Film producer Madhur Bhandarkar said in a conversation with news agency ANI, 'Baba Siddiqui was very cheerful. I always used to come to his Iftar party. Whatever happened to him is very regrettable. I knew Baba for many years. He always used to meet people. This is very sad and shocking. It is difficult to believe that Baba is no longer among us'.

Madhur Bhandarkar further said, 'The criminals should get severe punishment. May Baba's family and his loved ones get the strength to bear this sorrow.' After the murder of Baba Siddiqui, security has been increased outside actor Salman Khan's house Galaxy Apartment.
