Before becoming the Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann was a two-time MP from Sangrur. Bhagwant Mann's wife is close to his family. This is the second marriage of Bhagwant Mann. Mann's first marriage was with Inderpreet Kaur. Bhagwant Mann's son Dilshan Mann (17) and daughter Seerat Kaur Mann (21) live in America with their mother Inderpreet Kaur. On 20 March 2015, Bhagwant Mann and Inderpreet Kaur filed for divorce by mutual consent in court. Mann's argument in this application was that he is getting divorced from his wife due to politics.
