Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann tied the knot with Dr. Gurpreet Kaur on Thursday. This marriage took place in the CM's residence according to Sikh customs. MP Raghav Chadha and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal were also present at the wedding. Kejriwal performed rituals like a father in marriage. Apart from Mann and Gurpreet's family, Kejriwal's family also attended the wedding. MP Raghav Chadha arrived at the wedding with his mother.

CM Bhagwant Mann bore the expenses of organizing the wedding. Bhagwant Mann's mother Harpal Kaur wished that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann should resettle her house. After this, the CM agreed to the marriage. Mother and sister Manpreet Kaur herself have chosen the girl for CM Bhagwant Mann. Before becoming the Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann was a two-time MP from Sangrur. Bhagwant Mann's wife is close to his family. Bhagwant Mann and Gurpreet Kaur have known each other for a long time.

Inderpreet Kaur was first married

This is the second marriage of Bhagwant Mann. Mann's first marriage was with Inderpreet Kaur. Bhagwant Mann's son Dilshan Mann (17) and daughter Seerat Kaur Mann (21) live in America with their mother Inderpreet Kaur. On 20 March 2015, Bhagwant Mann and Inderpreet Kaur filed for divorce by mutual consent in court. Mann's argument in this application was that he is getting divorced from his wife due to politics.

People have chosen him by faith. According to reports, in the application given in the court, Bhagwant Mann's wife had put a condition that if Mann leaves India and shifts to California, then she will withdraw the divorce application. On the other hand, Mann did not want to leave politics and go abroad. Mann argued that he could not break the trust of the people. If his wife wants to settle with him in India, he will withdraw the divorce application. Bhagwant Mann also shared the reason for his divorce on his Facebook page. In this, he wrote, 'What was hanging from the time has been resolved, the court's decision, it has become yesterday, Ek Paase Parivar, Duje Paase Si Punjab, Main To Yaaro Apne Punjab Val Ho Gaye.'
