Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann (48) has a second marriage on Thursday. He will take rounds with Dr. Gurpreet Kaur (32), a resident of Pehowa, Haryana, at 11 am at the CM House in Chandigarh. Apart from Mann and Gurpreet's family, Arvind Kejriwal's family will also attend the wedding.

 

He got divorced from Bhagwant Mann's first wife Inderpreet Kaur in 2015. Mann has two children from his first marriage, Dilshan (17) and Seerat (21). Who lives in America with their mother.

 

Getting acquainted with the Mann family since 2019

 

Dr. Gurpreet Kaur is originally from Tilak Colony, Ward 5, Pehowa, Haryana. He did his MBBS from Mulana Medical College, Ambala. She now lives in Rajpura. According to the family, Bhagwant's sister has a good friendship with Gurpreet. For this reason, Mann's family got to know Gurpreet very well.

 

Bhagwant and Gurpreet met for the first time in 2019. Mann was the MP from Sangrur at that time. She also appeared at Mann's oath ceremony as CM.

 

Divorce from the first wife due to politics

 

The relationship with CM Mann's first wife Inderpreet Kaur was spoiled due to politics. In 2014, he contested the Lok Sabha elections from the Sangrur Lok Sabha seat. Then his first wife Inderpreet Kaur also campaigned. However, the very next year the relationship began to deteriorate. CM Mann said that he was not able to give time to the family. He chose Punjab out of family and Punjab. After which they got divorced in 2015. Their wife went to America with her son and daughter.

 

3 sisters in the family, Gurpreet is the youngest

 

Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, who is becoming the wife of CM Mann, is the youngest of her three sisters. His elder sister Neeru is married in America while the other sister Jaggu lives with her family in Australia. Gurpreet Kaur's father Inderjit Singh has Canadian citizenship, while her mother Raj Harjinder Kaur is a housewife.
