Weather Update: The wait is over! Rain is expected in Delhi-NCR in the next few hours, drops of relief will also fall in 10 states including UP-Bihar

Delhiites are finally going to get relief from the scorching heat. Strong cold winds and clouds have been playing hide and seek in the national capital Delhi since morning. The Meteorological Department has also agreed to give relief to the people of Delhi.

 

According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate intensity rain along with strong winds may occur in the areas of North Delhi, North-East Delhi, North-West Delhi, West Delhi, Central Delhi, NCR (Loni Dehat, Hindon Air Force Station, Bahadurgarh, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula) during the next 2 hours.

 

IMD released an update at 7:21 am and said that apart from Delhi, light to moderate intensity rain may occur in some places and adjoining areas of Sonipat, Rohtak, Kharkhoda (Haryana) Baghpat, Khekra, Modinagar, Pilkhua (UP).

 

How will the weather in Delhi be today?

 

The Meteorological Department has given good news to the people of Delhi. According to IMD, there may be light rain along with lightning in NCR including Delhi on Thursday. IMD said in its update that there may be light rain along with dust storms, thunderclouds, lightning along with gusty winds of 40 to 50 kmph in Delhi today.

 

Heavy rain will occur in some districts of Bihar

 

Regarding the rain in Bihar, the Meteorological Department has predicted that there may be torrential rain in some districts. There is a possibility of thunderstorms with thunderstorms in most parts of the northern parts of Bihar. A yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain in Araria, Kishanganj, Supaul, and Madhubani. There is a possibility of strong wind flow along with the movement of clouds. Due to the change in weather, there is a possibility of a partial drop in temperature in southern parts including Patna. These states will also receive rain with strong winds.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its 7:21 am update said that during the next 3 hours, light to moderate rainfall is likely at some places over Western Assam and Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, East Vidarbha, East Telangana and adjoining North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Lakshadweep, South Gujarat, North Konkan, Goa and Karnataka along with thundershowers and lightning/strong winds at isolated places.
