Big accident in Jharkhand: 48 people were trapped on the hill due to the collision of trolleys on the ropeway, the army had to be called for help

A big accident happened in Jharkhand on Sunday evening. Here the trolleys of the highest Trikoot ropeway collided with each other. Due to this accident, 48 people are stuck on the hill for the last 20 hours. After this NDRF started the rescue operation. However, later the army had to be called to help the people. According to the information, people are still trapped on the hill and they are being given food and water through drones.

 

 

According to the information, hundreds of tourists had arrived here on Sunday to worship and roam. A trolley of ropeway was coming down, during this time the trolley going upwards collided with it. At the time when this accident happened, about two dozen trolleys were upstairs. Many people have also been injured in this accident.

 

 

48 people trapped in 18 trolleys

 

More than 20 hours have passed since this accident, but still, people could not be evacuated safely. It is being told that about 18 trolleys are stuck above, with which 48 people are aboard. Among them are small children and women.

Officials said that as soon as the army resorted to helicopters to evacuate the people. Due to the strong wind of the fan, the trolleys started moving, which people's lives were affected. District Collector Manjunath Bhaijantri said that the ropeway is currently closed. The accident happened due to the dispelling of the trolley. The injured have been sent to the hospital.

 

Two Mi-17 helicopters put into operation

 

Indian Air Force says that two Mi-17 helicopters have been engaged in the ropeway accident. People are still trapped above, rescue operation is being carried out to rescue them. At the same time, DC Deoghar has confirmed the death of a woman in the accident. Another person is seriously injured.
