Patna, Jan 6 (IANS) The BJP plans to add 75 lakh new members in Bihar ahead of this year's assembly election, party leaders said Tuesday.
At the end of the Bharatiya Janata Party's two-day state executive meeting, national organisational secretary Ram Lal said the party will go to the people to end caste-based politics in the state.
The BJP will warn people about the merger of Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal-United and Lalu Prasad's Rashtriya Janata Dal.
"Our face in the polls will be Prime Minister Narendra Modi because the party got support across the country in his name. People have faith in him and the party will go ahead with Modi's name in the Bihar polls," Lal said.
Former deputy chief minister and BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi said the "Nitish-Lalu unity" was not a challenge for the BJP.
He said there will be no impact of the likely merger of the JD-U and the RJD.
"The BJP is confident of its victory in next Bihar assembly polls. The NDA will form the next government in the state," he said.
