New Delhi, Feb 10 (IANS) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Tuesday congratulated AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal for his party's huge win in Delhi and said it would introspect the reasons for its own defeat.
"We accept the mandate of the people," BJP's Delhi unit president Satish Upadhyay told the media. "As the party's Delhi leader, I accept moral responsibility for the defeat.
"Clearly, somewhere we made a mistake in understanding the people's mood.
"We will have to analyse the reasons why we lost so badly," he added. Asked who was to blame for the BJP's dismal showing with the party tipped to win less than 10 of the 70 seats, he said: "We will take collective responsibility."
