The Income Tax (IT) department's raid continues at the locations of actress Taapsee Pannu and producers Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl, Vikramaditya Motwane, Madhu Mantena. They are suspected of tax evasion. Along with Tapsi and Anurag's houses, there have been raids in the office as well. IT department officials have seized 3 laptops and 4 computers from their offices. Currently, there is also a raid in the office of KRI Entertainment, the company which sees Taapsee's PR.

Action can go on for the next 3 days

According to sources, there has been evidence of heavy money transactions between KRI Entertainment and Phantom Films. The locations of Phantom Films, Reliance Entertainment, Kwan Talent Hunt Company, and Exide Company are also being raided in this case. According to sources, this raid can last for the next three days.

According to some reports, interrogation of Anurag Kashyap and Taapsee Pannu began in Pune on Wednesday. It is believed that both have been kept in a hotel room here. However, this has not been confirmed yet.

Politics also started on the action of Income Tax Department

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has taunted the central government through idioms over this action of the Income Tax Department. Rahul wrote on social media, 'To put a finger on it - the central government does this with IT Dept-ED-CBI. Becoming a wet cat-friendly media in front of the central government The Khisiani cat Khamba Noche - like the central government makes a raid on the supporters of the farmer. '

Rahul said this because Taapsee Pannu and Anurag Kashyap have been supporting anti-government protests. Tapsi had supported the peasant movement in the past. When pop star Rihanna commented on social media on this movement, in response, many Bollywood and sports personalities had tweeted in favor of the government. Taapsee had expressed her opinion against these celebrities. At the same time, Anurag Kashyap has surrounded the Modi government on issues like CAA.

4 accounts of talent management company Quan freeze

Producer Madhu Mantena's Queenbeach building in Mumbai was also raided by 6 officials of the Income Tax Department. Meanwhile, a team of 8 Income Tax officials also searched the center of Andheri West of Madhu Mantena's company Kwan Talent Management. Kwan's four accounts have been frozen.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Income Tax Department searched about 30 places. Raid started between 8 am and 9 am on Wednesday in many areas of Mumbai including Lokhandwala, Andheri, Bandra, and Pune. The movement of Income Tax officials on these locations continued till late at night.

All raids are interconnected

Phantom Films Company was launched in 2010 by Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, Madhu Mantena, and Vikas Bahl. These four are alleged that the correct income of the income earned from the Phantom film was not given to the Income Tax Department and the income was shown below.

Mantena also bought a total of 37.5% of Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl, and Vikramaditya Motwani in Phantom Films a month ago. Mantena already had a 12.5% share. The remaining 50% stake in this production house is owned by Reliance Entertainment of Anil Ambani Group. That is, raids are connected in some way.

Phantom Films Company's first film Lootera came in 2013. Subsequently, under this banner, films such as Hansi Fansi, Queen, Next, NH-10, Hunter, Mumbai Velvet, Masaan, Brilliant, Udta Punjab, Raman Raghav-2, Rong Side Raju, Boxer, Super 30, and Comet were made. Comet was released in 2020.
