In an open letter to the people of the country on the first anniversary of his second term as Prime Minister, PM Modi said that in 2019 the people of India not only voted for our government, but also to take India to new heights and make it a world. Mentioning the amendment to the Citizenship Act, Modi said that it was an expression of 'India's compassion and sense of inclusiveness'. In the list of other major decisions of his government, Modi said that the post of Chief of Defense Staff was a long-pending reform that increased coordination among the armed forces.

 

The PM said that at the same time India has put forward the preparations for Mission Gaganyaan. Where is Modi 'Empowering the poor, farmers, women and youth remains our priority. The Prime Minister said that apart from the facility of availing bank loans, a separate department has also been created for fishermen. He said that several other decisions have been taken to strengthen the fisheries sector, which will promote the blue economy. The PM said that for the timely solution of the problems of the traders, it has been decided to set up the Merchant Welfare Board. Around 7 crore sisters attached to self-help groups are also being given more financial support. Recently, the loan for self-help groups without guarantee has been doubled from 10 lakh to 20 lakh.
