this is the case

There has been tension between the two countries for the past several days over the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. The Canadian Prime Minister had alleged India's involvement in Nijjar's murder. After this, India rejected these allegations and called them absurd and politically motivated. Along with this, both the countries have expelled one top diplomat of the other. India has also temporarily suspended visa services for Canadian citizens.

It is noteworthy that Canada has not yet provided any public evidence in support of the claim of the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

Canadian PM's statement after controversy

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Tuesday that his country does not want to escalate the dispute with India and wants to engage responsibly and constructively with New Delhi. Trudeau had said that we wanted to have a presence in India to help Canadian families.

This statement of Trudeau came to light when India asked the Canadian government to recall its 41 diplomats by October 10. India has clearly said that if these diplomats stay in India even after October 10, their diplomatic immunity will also be revoked.
