AUS vs. PAK: What did David Warner do after leaving batting? A repeated feat in ODI cricket after 11 years

Before the start of the ICC World Cup 2023, Australia is facing Pakistan in a warm-up match. Batting first, the Kangaroo team scored 351 runs on the scoreboard after losing 7 wickets in 50 overs. Australian batsmen thrashed Pakistani bowlers and hit a lot of fours and sixes in Hyderabad. David Warner, who played a quick inning of 48 runs with the bat, also tried his hand at bowling in this match.

Till the time of writing the news, the Australian team has used eight bowlers in the practice match played against Pakistan. The names of Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, and David Warner are also included in this list. Warner tried his hand at bowling in ODI cricket after 11 years. However, Warner was badly beaten in bowling and he gave away 41 runs in 2 overs.

 

Repeated feat after 11 years

David Warner had bowled only once in ODI cricket before this match. The Kangaroo opener tried his hand at bowling in the match played against England in 2012. That means Warner was seen bowling again after almost 11 years. However, Warner excelled in batting and played a brilliant inning of 48 runs in 33 balls. During this innings, the Kangaroo opener hit 4 fours and three sixes.

 

Maxwell-Green played a stormy innings

Glenn Maxwell wreaked havoc in Australia's batting. Maxwell played a brilliant inning of 77 runs facing just 71 balls. During his innings, Maxwell hit 4 fours and six sixes. At the same time, Cameron Green also completed his half-century in 40 balls.
