Chandigarh, Jan 2 (IANS) After experiencing bright sunshine for almost three days, Chandigarh and its surrounding areas witnessed moderate rainfall Friday afternoon.
Some parts of Haryana also experienced showers, though most parts of Punjab remained cloudy.
The rainfall in Chandigarh brought back the winter chill, with people feeling a drop in the day temperature. The adjoining towns of Panchkula in Haryana, and Mohali in Punjab, also experienced rain.
Chandigarh witnessed a maximum temperature of around 25 degrees Thursday while the minimum was around 7.8 degrees.
The maximum temperature at most places across Haryana and Punjab Thursday hovered between 20 and 25 degrees. This was warmer than the highs of 10-15 degrees witnessed last week.
