Corona Updates: Big jump in corona cases in the country, about 34 thousand new cases surfaced in 24 hours

The havoc of corona infection is not decreasing in the country. The ever-increasing cases of corona have raised concerns again. There has been a big jump in corona cases on Sunday. In the last 24 hours, 33,750 new cases have been reported. According to the Ministry of Health, 10,846 people have also recovered during this period. Let us inform you that on Saturday, 27,553 new cases of the corona were reported.

The ministry said that 123 corona patients have also died in 24 hours. Now the number of active cases in the country has increased to 1,45,582. At the same time, a total of 4 lakh 81 thousand 893 patients have lost their lives due to this.

The total number of Omicron patients has increased to 1700. 639 patients of Omicron have also been cured. Maharashtra has the highest number of Omicron patients. There are a total of 510 patients in Maharashtra and 351 in Delhi.

 

Vaccination of children started from today

 

On the other hand, vaccination of children in the age group of 15-18 years has started from today. Children of this age are currently being given doses of Covaccine. Millions of children have registered for the vaccine. Along with registration on the Covin portal, there is a facility for on-spot registration as well. Adolescents can register directly by visiting the vaccine center and they will also be vaccinated immediately. Let us inform you that PM Narendra Modi while addressing the countrymen on Christmas night, announced vaccination for children. Modi had said that from January 3, children in the age group of 15-18 years would be vaccinated. Modi had also announced to give precaution doses to people above 60 years of age from January 10.
