Surguja News: Earthquake tremors were felt in Chhattisgarh\'s Surguja division on Thursday afternoon. However, the intensity of the earthquake was low, so no damage was reported. At the same time, Premnagar, Ramanujanagar, Surajpur, Silphili, Jarhi area of Surajpur district, and Baikunthpur in Koriya district were also affected by the earthquake. After feeling the tremors of the earthquake in Surajpur district, on the instructions of Collector Iffat Ara, the Education Department, taking precautions, has declared holidays for all primary, middle, high, and higher secondary schools.
In this regard, District Education Officer Vinod Rai said that earthquake tremors were felt in the district, so schools were closed as a precaution on the instructions of the Collector Madam. Meteorologist Akshay Mohan Bhatt said that the magnitude of the earthquake was 3.0. The epicenter of the earthquake was Surajpur. The impact of the earthquake was within a radius of 50 to 60 kilometers from the center.
