Maharashtra opener Ruturaj Gaikwad has created history in the Vijay Hazar Trophy. He has become the first batsman to hit seven sixes in an over in List A cricket. He scored an unbeaten 220 off 159 balls in the match against Uttar Pradesh and made many big records. Due to his brilliant innings, Maharashtra made a big score of 330 runs losing five wickets in this match.

 

 

In this match where Ruturaj scored 220 runs in 159 balls. At the same time, the rest of the Maharashtra batsmen scored only 110 runs in 141 balls.

 

Ruturaj hit 10 fours and 16 sixes in his innings. He scored at a strike rate of 138.36. During this, he simultaneously made many records to his name. This was Ruturaj first double-century in List-A cricket. He is the 11th Indian batsman to score a double century in List A cricket. He is the first batsman to hit seven sixes in an over in List A cricket. In terms of scoring the most runs in an over, Ruturaj has also jointly come in first place.

 

A total of 43 runs came in the 49th over of Maharashtra's innings. Of these, 42 runs came from the bat of Ruturaj.

 

Apart from Ruturaj, no other batsman could play a big inning for Maharashtra. Bawne and Azim Qazi were the second-highest run-scorers. Both scored 35 runs. Bawne took 54 and Azim took 42 balls for this.

 

Karthik Tyagi took the maximum of three wickets for Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, Rajput and Shivam Sharma got one wicket each. Shiva Singh, who hit seven sixes in one over from Ruturaj, gave away a total of 88 runs in his nine overs.
