Chilly Morning, Fog Delays 65 Trains in Delhi

New Delhi, Jan 15 (IANS) It was a chilly morning here Thursday. Officials said 65 trains were delayed due to fog.

The visibility dropped to 400 metres at 8.30 a.m.

According the Northern Railway, 57 trains coming to the city were delayed while the departure time of eight trains was rescheduled. Another three trains were cancelled.

The minimum temperature was 5.8 degrees Celsius - two notches below the season's average.

"The sky will be mainly clear in the day. Moderate or dense fog may occur in the evening," an India Meteorological Department official said.

The day's maximum temperature is likely to hover around 17 degrees Celsius.

Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 94 percent.

Wednesday's minimum temperature settled three notches above the season's average at 11 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature settled six notches below the season's average at 14.7 degrees Celsius.
