China has promised the Taliban that if it fulfills its wish, in return, Beijing will provide financial assistance to Afghanistan as well as provide investment for the reconstruction of Afghanistan. Apart from this, getting recognition from a big Asian country like China will also help the Taliban to gain legitimacy at the international level. Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen also said that if China invests in Afghanistan, the Taliban will guarantee its security.
