Taiwanese boys joining Ukraine's army: being martyred fighting Russia, reason told to China

The youth of Taiwan are also supporting Ukraine in the war being fought against Russia. Many boys from Taiwan are not only fighting the war together with the soldiers of Ukraine but also losing their lives.

 

According to the BBC report, since the beginning of the war, thousands of foreigners have reached there to support Ukraine. Of these, 10 are also from Taiwan. One of whom, Sheng Guang, was killed in a Russian attack last month. In a statement issued after Sheng's death, Taiwan's Foreign Ministry said that he had given his life for the independence of Ukraine. Speaking to the BBC, Sheng's mother said she will always remember him as a brave boy.

It is mandatory to serve in the military in Taiwan, which is why Ukraine is including the people there in its army. Jack Yao, a 28-year-old Taiwanese soldier in Ukraine, told the BBC he joined the Ukrainian army following Zelensky's appeal. In fact, after the start of the war, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, asked the people of other countries to become volunteers. After this many people from all over the world joined the army of Ukraine.
