Five members of the nine-member secretariat of the ruling NCP namely Dahal, Madhav Nepal, Jhal Nath Khanal, Bamdev Gautam, and Narayan Qazi are pushing for a superior meeting. Meanwhile, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli with Bishnu Podel, Ishwar Pokharel, and Ram Bahadur Thapa are set to postpone the meeting.

Oli attempted to cancel the secretariat meeting on Wednesday, for which he sent Bishnu Pudel to convince Dahal and withdraw his political document.
