Corona in the country: 1.72 lakh new cases in 24 hours, less than 2 lakh for the third consecutive day, 1008 deaths; 2.59 lakh also recovered

On Wednesday, 1.72 lakh new cases were reported in the country. During this 2.59 lakh people were cured, while 1,005 people have died. A day before this, 1.61 lakh cases were found on Tuesday. 11,047 more infected have been found compared to the previous day, that is, an increase of 6.40% in new cases.

 

The positivity rate in the country was recorded at 10.99% yesterday, a day before the positivity rate was 9.26% on Tuesday. Since Monday, less than 2 lakh new cases are being received in the country. On January 20, a maximum number of 3.47 lakh new cases were found. Since January 20, there has been a steady decline in the corona case.

 

At present, the total number of active cases in the country, that is, the number of patients undergoing treatment is 15.33 lakh. The number of active cases has decreased by about 89,392 as compared to the previous day. Total cases have crossed 4.18 crores. According to the Health Ministry, out of 1,008 deaths reported in the country on Wednesday, 335 deaths have occurred in Kerala during the past few days. These figures have just been added.

Gehlot government will not take strict action on those who do not vaccinate in Rajasthan. A separate guideline will not be issued to stop the entry of those without vaccines in public places, markets. Earlier, the Chief Minister had talked about making strict provisions for those who do not apply both doses of the vaccine by 31 January.

 

The Center on Wednesday directed the states to vaccinate 15-17-year-olds. In this, it was said to speed up the second dose. The government is soon going to start the supply of Zydus vaccine in 7 states. These include Bihar, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, UP, and West Bengal.

 

Delhi's positivity rate has come down from 5% to 4.73% for the first time in the last month. After this, the Delhi Disaster Management (DDMA) will decide on the reopening of schools and colleges on Friday. Under this, a decision can also be taken to reopen the gym and spas, end the night curfew.

 

Condition of 5 most affected states

 

1. Kerala: highest 165 deaths in the country

52,199 new infected have been found here on Wednesday, while 41,715 patients have been cured and 165 people died. A day before this, 51,887 new infections were found on Tuesday and 142 people died. There was a slight increase on Wednesday as compared to Tuesday.

 

Since the beginning of the epidemic, a total of 61.29 lakh people have been infected here. Of these, 56.95 lakh people have been cured, while 56,100 people have died. The positivity rate is 41.89%.

 

2. Karnataka: 43% increase in new cases compared to the previous day

On Wednesday, 20,505 new cases were found in Karnataka, while 40,903 people defeated Corona. During this 81 people died. A day earlier on Tuesday, 14,366 new cases were found and 58 people died.

 

So far, a total of 38.44 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 36.27 lakh people have been cured, while 39,137 people have died. At present, the number of patients being treated here is 1.77 lakh, while the positivity rate is 12.56%.

 

3. Maharashtra: Double the number of patients recovered from the new case

In Maharashtra, 18,067 new cases of the corona were found in the last 24 hours. During this 79 people died and 36,281 patients were cured. A day before this, 14,372 new cases were found and 94 people died. Now the total active cases in the state have come down to 1.73 lakh.

 

So far, a total of 77.53 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 74.33 lakh people have been cured, while 1.42 lakh people have died. The positivity rate is 10.67%, up from 9.40% on Tuesday the day before.

 

4. Tamil Nadu: Positivity rate down to 10.68%

On Wednesday, 14,013 new cases were reported here. 24,576 people were cured and 37 people died. Earlier on Tuesday, 16,096 new cases were reported and 35 people died.

 

So far, a total of 33.75 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 31.59 lakh people have been cured, while 37,636 people have died. Here the active case is 1.77 lakh and the positivity rate is 10.68%. A day before this, the positivity rate was 12.32%.

 

5. Gujarat: 10 thousand 545 people died so far

8,934 new cases were found in Gujarat on Wednesday. In the state, 15,177 people defeated Corona, while 34 people died. A day before this, on Tuesday, 8,338 new cases were found and 38 people died.

 

So far, a total of 11.77 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 10.98 lakh people have been cured, while 10,545 people have died. Here the active case is 69 thousand and the positivity rate is 7.15%. Earlier the positivity rate was 8.18%.

1. Madhya Pradesh: Increase in positivity rate

In Madhya Pradesh, 7,359 cases were reported in the last 24 hours and 9,696 people were cured. During this 6 people died. A day before this, that is, on Tuesday, 6,243 cases were reported and 6 people died. So far, more than 9.81 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 9.16 lakh people have been cured, while 10,630 people died. 53,951 patients are currently undergoing treatment. The positivity rate is 9.42%, up from 8.70% a day ago.

 

2278 new infections have been found in Indore. Two coronae infected have also died. On the other hand, 15 passengers going from Indore to Dubai on Wednesday's flight have come positive. Everyone has been isolated.

 

2. Andhra Pradesh: The pace of infection stabilizes

In Andhra, 5,983 new cases were reported here in the last 24 hours, while 11,280 people were cured and 11 people died. Earlier on Tuesday, 6,213 new cases were reported and 5 people died. So far 22.88 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 21.73 lakh people have been cured, while 14,631 people have died. Active cases are 1 lakh. The positivity rate is 17.07%.

 

3. Rajasthan: 22 people died in 24 hours

On Wednesday, 8,428 cases were reported here, while 12,839 people were cured and 22 people died. Earlier on Tuesday, 6,212 new cases were reported and 20 people died. So far 12.21 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 11.53 lakh people have been cured, while 9,310 people died. There are 58 thousand active cases here.

 

4. Uttar Pradesh: Positivity Rate 2.46%

There were 5,017 new corona cases in the last 24 hours. 10,398 people were cured and 22 people died. Earlier on Tuesday, 4,651 new corona cases came and 26 people died. So far 20.29 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 19.64 lakh people have been cured, while 23,255 people died. 47,795 patients are currently undergoing treatment in the state. The positivity rate here is 2.46%.

 

5. Odisha: 19 people died in 24 hours

In Odisha, 3,450 new cases were registered in the last 24 hours. During this 6,067 people were cured and 19 people died. A day before this, 3,086 new cases were registered and 17 people died. So far 12.55 lakh people of the state have come under the grip of infection. At the same time, the death toll has reached 8,648. The total number of active patients in the state is 31,695. The positivity rate is 5.84%.

 

6. Chhattisgarh: Positivity rate 6.82%

In the last 24 hours, 2,764 cases were registered in Chhattisgarh. During this, 2,437 people were cured and 14 people died. Earlier on Wednesday, 3,241 cases were found and 16 people died.

So far, 11.31 lakh people of the state have come under the grip of infection. At the same time, the death toll has reached 13,883. The total number of active patients in the state is 21,475. The positivity rate is 6.15%.

 

7. Haryana: 15 dead

In the last 24 hours, 3,267 people were found infected in the state. 5,117 people have been cured and 17 people have died. On Tuesday, 2,894 people were found infected here and 15 people died. So far, more than 9.55 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 9.24 lakh people have been cured, while 10,337 people died. A total of 20,859 patients are currently undergoing treatment. The positivity rate a day ago is 10.03%.

 

8. Delhi: Positivity rate continues to decline

On Wednesday, 3,028 new corona cases were reported in Delhi and 27 people died. 4,837 people were cured. A day before this, 2,683 new corona cases were reported on Tuesday and 27 people died. So far, more than 18.35 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 17.95 lakh have been cured, while 25,919 have died. The positivity rate in Delhi was 30% on January 15, which has come down to 4.73% on Wednesday.

 

9. West Bengal: 20 lakh infected so far confirmed

On Wednesday, 2,723 new cases have been found in West Bengal. During this, 2,950 patients were cured, while 35 people have died. On Tuesday, 2,014 cases were found and 33 people died. A total of 20 lakh cases have been found in the state so far, while 19.57 lakh people have been cured. A total of 20,687 people have died. The active case is 21,880. There has been a decrease of 262 active cases on the last day. The positivity rate here is 4.61%.

 

10. Punjab: Positivity rate 4.93%

In Punjab, 1,708 new infections have been found on the last day and 28 people have died. 4,867 people have also recovered from the infection. A day before this, on Tuesday, 1,597 were found infected and 39 people had lost their lives.

 

So far 7.46 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 7.11 lakh people have been cured, while 17,320 people have died. Active cases are 17,750. The positivity rate in the state is 4.93%, which was 5.75% a day earlier.
