Corona in the country: 2.82 lakh new cases in 24 hours, Corona cases increased again after two days, ban on international flights extended till February 28

On Tuesday, 2.82 lakh new cases have been found in the country. During this 1.87 lakh people were cured, while 441 died. Now there are 18.25 lakh active cases in the country, that is, they are undergoing treatment. Talking about new cases, after two days of decline, they have seen an increase.

 

Earlier, 2.38 lakh cases had come on 17 January and 2.58 lakh cases had come a day before that i.e. on 16 January. At the same time, on January 15, 2.71 lakh new cases were found.

 

Meanwhile, India has extended the ban on international flights till February 28. According to a statement issued by the Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the flights operating under the bubble agreement will continue to operate as before. At the same time, cargo flights permitted by DGCA can also fly. Because of the cases of Corona, regular international flights have been banned since 23 March 2020.

So far 8,961 cases of Omicron have been found in the country. At the same time, about 158.88 crore doses of the vaccine have been applied.

 

In the last 9 days, the number of infected judges in the Supreme Court has doubled. So far 10 judges of the Supreme Court have been infected with Corona. Given the increasing cases of Corona, the bench of three judges will not sit today. The positivity rate among the employees of the court has gone up to 30%.

 

Corona explosion has happened once again in Hills Queen Shimla on Tuesday. During the last 24 hours, 1684 people got investigated here. Of these, 644 i.e. 38.25% people were found infected. The infection rate has also crossed 20% in Hamirpur, Kullu, Solan, and Mandi districts.

 

In the last 24 hours, 28 policemen have been found infected in Mumbai. According to the Mumbai Police, a total of 10,666 policemen have been found positive in the city so far and 127 have died. Here 1,273 policemen are still infected.

 

Delhi government will depute its senior nursing officers as nodal officers in private hospitals. With this, the management and vaccination of Covid-19 patients will also be monitored.

 

In the last 24 hours, 4,651 new Covid cases were reported in Jammu and Kashmir. This is the highest number of new cases of corona in the state during a single day. The active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 21,677.

 

The first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine has been administered to more than 50% of the youth in the 15-18 age group. Precautionary doses were given to more than 50 lakh elderly, healthcare, and frontline workers.

 

Tripura recorded 1385 new COVID-19 cases, 492 recoveries, and 4 deaths in the last 24 hours. There are 6,491 active cases in the state.

 

Assam recorded 8,072 new COVID cases and 16 deaths in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate during this period has been 13%.

 

Former Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has become Corona positive. He was complaining of cold and flu for two days. He was found positive in the rapid test. He has been admitted to Dayanand Medical College Ludhiana.

 

Condition of 5 most affected states

 

1. Karnataka: 52.66% jump in new cases

On Tuesday, 41,457 people were found infected here, while 8,353 people were cured and 20 people died. A total of 32.88 lakh people have come under the grip of infection. Of these, 29.99 lakh people have been cured, while 38,465 people died. The number of active cases is 2,50,381. The positivity rate has increased from 12.46% to 22.30%. Earlier on Monday, 27,156 people were found infected, that is, cases have increased by 52.66% in a day.

 

2. Maharashtra: 39 thousand new cases were found in 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, 39,207 new cases have been reported in Maharashtra, which is 8,096 more than on Monday. On Monday, 31,111 cases were reported in the state, that is, 26% of cases have increased in a day. On Tuesday, 38,824 patients were cured and 53 people died. The total active cases in the state now stand at 2,67,659. Talking about Mumbai, 6,149 new cases of Covid have been reported and 7 patients have died.

 

3. Kerala: Positivity rate rises to 35.27%

On Tuesday, 28,481 cases have been reported in the state, while 7,303 patients have been cured and 39 people have died. So far, a total of 54.30 lakh people have come under the grip of infection. Of these, 52.36 lakh people have been cured, while 51,026 people died. The number of active cases here is 1,42,512. The positivity rate has gone up to 35.27%. A day earlier on Monday, 22,946 people were found infected and 18 died.

 

4. Tamil Nadu: The pace of infection stabilizes

During 24 hours, 23,888 cases have been reported here. 15,036 patients were cured of this disease and 29 people died. So far, a total of 29.87 lakh people have come under the grip of the infection in the state. Of these, 27.89 lakh people have been cured, while 37,038 patients died. Here the total active cases are 1,61,171 and the positivity rate is 16.87%. A day earlier on Monday, 23,443 people were found infected and 20 died.

 

5. Gujarat: Active cases cross 79 thousand

On Tuesday, 17,119 new cases were reported in the state, while 7,883 patients were cured and 10 people died. So far, more than 9.56 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 8.66 lakh people have been cured, while 10,174 people died. The total active cases here are 79,600. The positivity rate is 13.11%. On Monday, 12,753 new cases were reported in the state and 5 people died.

 

The condition of 10 other major states

 

1. Delhi

For the 5th consecutive day in Delhi, there was a decline in the daily cases. Delhi has reported 11,684 new Covid cases and 38 deaths in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate stood at 22.47%. Active cases remain 78,112 in the capital. Cases have been decreasing continuously in Delhi since January 13. 28,867 new cases were found in the capital on January 13 and 24,343 on January 14. On January 15, 20,718 cases were registered, on January 16, 18,286 cases, and on January 17, 12,527 cases were registered.

 

2. Uttar Pradesh

In the last 24 hours, 14,803 people were found infected in the state. A maximum number of 2,173 new patients have been found in Lucknow. 20,191 people have recovered and 12 deaths have been recorded in the state. So far, more than 18.64 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 17.40 lakh people have been cured, while 22,984 people died. At present, 1,01,114 patients are undergoing treatment in the state. The positivity rate here is 7.11%.

 

3. West Bengal

On Tuesday, 10,430 new cases have been found in West Bengal. During this, 13,308 patients have been cured, while 34 people have died. The positivity rate here is 19.38%. A total of 19.17 lakh cases have been received so far in the state, while 17.41 lakh people have recovered. A total of 20,155 people have died. Active cases are 1,55,711.

 

4. Rajasthan

Here on Tuesday, 9,711 were found infected, while 7,056 people were cured and 9 people died. So far, more than 10.56 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 9.78 lakh people have been cured, while 9,019 people died. There are 69,388 active cases here. The positivity rate is 12.05%.

 

5. Haryana

In the last 24 hours, 8,388 people were found infected in the state and 5,917 people were cured. 8 people have died here. So far, more than 8.64 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 7.97 lakh people have been cured, while 10,124 people died. A total of 57,277 are currently undergoing treatment. The positivity rate is 21.30%.

 

6. Madhya Pradesh

Here 7,154 new cases were reported in 24 hours and 2,675 people were cured. During this, 2 patients have died. So far, more than 8.45 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 7.95 lakh people have been cured, while 10,547 people died. 39,450 patients are currently undergoing treatment. The positivity rate is 9.72%.

 

In Madhya Pradesh, there have been 5 deaths due to corona in 24 hours. 3 deaths were reported in Indore, Gwalior, and Jabalpur. 7597 new cases have come. The number of active cases has increased to 43,973. The positivity rate has reached 9.81%. Ujjain MP Anil Firojia has become corona infected.

 

Now not only the administration, but the health department is also keeping a close watch on those who check at home by taking the corona self-test kit from the medical store. The administration has directed all the medical store operators in the city to keep complete information of all the customers buying the kit, including name, address, age, and mobile records.

 

7. Punjab

In Punjab, 6,641 infected have been found on the last day and 26 have died. The maximum number of seven infected have died in Patiala. So far, more than 6.76 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 6.61 lakh people have been cured, while 16,817 people died. The active case is 43,977. The positivity rate is 21.51%.

 

47 patients have gone on a ventilator in the state. The situation has become uncontrollable in the Mohali district of the state, where 1,196 patients were found in a day. While 5 patients died. The situation in Patiala also remains worrying.

 

8. Chhattisgarh

On Tuesday, 5,614 people were found infected here. In the state, 5,796 patients were cured and 9 patients died. So far, more than 10.69 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 10.24 lakh people have been cured, while 13,673 people died. A total of 31,769 are currently undergoing treatment. The positivity rate is 11.17%.

 

There are 16 districts where more than 50 patients have been discharged. At present, less than 3% of the total sick have required hospitalization. At the same time, the death of 9 patients has also scared.

 

9. Bihar

On Tuesday, 4,551 people were found infected here. 3,786 people were cured and 4 died. So far, more than 7.95 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 7.49 lakh people have been cured, while 12,145 people died. A total of 33,883 patients are currently undergoing treatment. The positivity rate is 2.96%.

 

10. Jharkhand

In 24 hours, 2,514 people were found infected here. In the state, 4,266 people were cured and 4 patients died. So far, more than 4.10 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 3.76 lakh people have been cured, while 5,213 people died. A total of 28,586 patients are currently undergoing treatment.
