Coronavirus: Centre's advice, cases of corona are decreasing continuously, the state government should relax Covid restrictions

There is a steady decrease in the cases of Coronavirus in the country. For the last few days, new cases of corona are continuously coming less than 50 thousand. Amidst the rapidly decreasing cases of the corona, the central government has advised the states to modify or reduce the Covid restrictions.

 

Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has written a letter to all the states and union territories. In this letter, he said, 'Since January 21, 2022, there is a steady decrease in corona cases. Last week, an average of 50,476 cases of the corona were being reported while 27,409 new cases were found in the last 24 hours. At the same time, on February 15, the daily positivity rate has been recorded at 3.63. He further said that the government is making changes to the existing guidelines. Along with this, the Union Health Ministry has also revised the international guidelines from 10 February.

 

He said, 'Currently, the cases of corona are continuously decreasing across the country. In such a situation, the states and union territories can modify or remove additional restrictions depending on the new cases, active cases, and positivity rate.

 

Advice on relaxing restrictions at the airport

 

Apart from this, the Union Health Secretary has advised the states to relax the Covid restrictions at their borders and airports too, so that the movement of people can be done and the economy is not harmed. Along with this, he has also asked the states to keep an eye on the cases of the corona.

 

Keep an eye on five strategies

 

The states have also been advised by the government to monitor the situation of the epidemic by making five strategies. This includes testing, Track, Treat, Vaccination, and compliance with COVID regulations.

 

30,757 new cases in 24 hours

 

Significantly, in the last 24 hours, 30,757 new cases of corona infection have been reported across the country. At the same time, 541 people have died during this period while 67,538 people have also been cured.
