भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था पर उपन्यास कोरोनावायरस (कोविद -19) बीमारी के प्रभाव से निपटने के लिए, भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) ने शुक्रवार को अपनी रेपो दर में 75 आधार अंकों (bps) की कटौती कर 4.4 प्रतिशत कर दिया।
24 मार्च, 26 और 27 को मिलने वाली केंद्रीय बैंक की मौद्रिक नीति समिति (एमपीसी) के पास 75 बीपीएस रेपो दर में कटौती के पक्ष में 4-2 का बहुमत था। इसके अलावा, रिवर्स रेपो दर 90 बीपीएस से 4 प्रतिशत तक कम हो गई है।
केंद्रीय बैंक ने 28 मार्च से अगले एक वर्ष के लिए बैंकों के लिए नकद आरक्षित अनुपात (सीआरआर) में 100 बीपीएस से 3 प्रतिशत की कटौती की।
भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक के गवर्नर शक्तिकांत दास ने मीडिया से बात करते हुए कहा कि भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था पर कोरोनोवायरस के गंभीर प्रभाव के कारण दर में कटौती की गई थी।
दास ने अपने भाषण में कहा, "यह याद रखना मुश्किल है कि कठिन समय कभी नहीं टिकता है, केवल कठिन लोग और संस्थान ही करते हैं।" उन्होंने आगे कहा कि आरबीआई ने पिछले एक महीने में कई कदम उठाए हैं और कहा है कि केंद्रीय बैंक काम पर और मिशन मोड में था।
दास ने भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था की मदद के लिए चार उपायों की घोषणा की - बाजार में तरलता का विस्तार करने के लिए उपाय, मौद्रिक संचरण को सुदृढ़ करने के लिए कदम, अदायगी के दबाव को कम करके वित्तीय तनाव को कम करना, उच्च अस्थिरता को देखते हुए बाजारों के कामकाज में सुधार करना।
तरलता उपायों के तहत, केंद्रीय बैंक के गवर्नर ने कहा कि लक्षित दीर्घकालिक रेपो परिचालन के तहत, आरबीआई एक लाख करोड़ रुपये तक के तीन साल के कार्यकाल की नीलामी करेगा। इसके अलावा, उन्होंने यह भी घोषणा की कि 28 मार्च से एक वर्ष के लिए सीआरआर को 100 बीपीएस से घटाकर 3 प्रतिशत कर दिया गया है। केंद्रीय बैंक ने 28 मार्च से दैनिक सीआरआर शेष को 90 प्रतिशत से घटाकर 80 प्रतिशत कर दिया।
आरबीआई ने सीएलआर के 2 प्रतिशत से 3 प्रतिशत तक सीमांत स्थायी सुविधा के तहत आवास में वृद्धि की। दास ने कहा कि यह सब मौद्रिक प्रणाली को 3.74 लाख करोड़ रुपये का इंजेक्शन देगा।
