Coronavirus in China: Corona cases broke the record in China, India stopped consular services in Shanghai

The third wave of Coronavirus Cases in China is not coming under control. Despite strict restrictions, record cases of corona are being reported in China. More than 26 thousand cases of corona have been reported in China in the last 24 hours.

 

The government said on Wednesday that on April 12, 25,141 new asymptomatic cases of corona have been reported. While 1189 cases with symptoms have been found. The asymptomatic cases stood at 22,348 the same day earlier.

China's zero Covid policy is being criticized amidst increasing cases of Corona. However, the Chinese government has defended it. Addressing reporters on Tuesday, the Chinese Foreign Minister's spokesman said, "China's zero-covid policy is based on anti-epidemic protocol science and expert opinion." He said that the policies made regarding Covid are based on the principles of WHO.

 

Indian embassy stops consular services in Shanghai

 

Things are bad in Shanghai due to the strict lockdown. Indian Embassy in Beijing has given a big update. The Indian Embassy said that the Consulate General of India could not be contacted due to the lockdown in Shanghai. The Embassy said that the Consulate General in Shanghai is not in a position to provide consular services in person. The embassy has also issued guidelines for Indians.

 

America called back its employees

 

Earlier, the US ordered its non-emergency government employees in Shanghai to leave the city. The US State Department has given instructions regarding this. According to the State Department, during this time American officials will be on duty at the consulate.
