The outbreak of the second wave of Covid-19 across the country is decreasing day by day. On Monday, after 70,421 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in a single day, the number of infected people in the country increased to 2,95,10,410. After 74 days, so few cases of infection have been reported in the country. The number of patients undergoing treatment has also come down to less than 10 lakh, after about two months. Here, because of the decrease in corona cases, many states have now started relaxing the strict restrictions imposed to prevent the spread of infection. Here is the list of states which have started unlocking from today i.e. Monday (June 14)-

Delhi: The Delhi government will further relax lockdown restrictions from Monday, allowing malls, markets, and restaurants to reopen. However, schools, colleges, and other educational institutions will remain closed.

Maharashtra: The districts of the state have been divided into five levels under the unlock process. In the districts placed under Level-2, it has been decided to relax the strict restrictions of Corona from Monday. Restaurants, shopping malls, and cinema halls will open in Level-2, but they have been approved to run with 50 percent capacity.

At the same time, after improving the corona positivity rate in Palghar and reducing the demand for oxygen beds, this district has also been included in Level-2. Apart from this, the process of unlocking under Level-2 has started on June 11 in Pune.

Karnataka: The BS Yediyurappa government in Karnataka has been permitted to start economic and other activities gradually from 6 am of June 14 to 6 am of June 21. Home delivery of goods and the operation of e-commerce companies have also been allowed. Street vendors, ration shops, standalone liquor shops and outlets (takeaway only) and optical shops have been allowed to open between 6 am and 2 pm.

Tamil Nadu: Tamil Nadu has extended the lockdown for another week till 6 am on 21st June, but some relaxations have also been announced, which will come into effect from Monday. Along with this, industries have also got approval to work with 33 percent workforce. Apart from this, the state government has permitted to open salons with Covid-19 guidelines.
