Delhi Air Pollution: Delhi's air quality deteriorates again, AQI crosses 300, 401 in Jahangirpuri; breathing difficult

Delhi's air quality once again slipped into the "very poor" category. Friday morning began with haze and light fog. A thin blanket of smog also appeared in the sky, reducing visibility. People were seen wearing masks during this time, and respiratory patients faced difficulties.

 

 

After remaining in the "poor" category for only two days, pollution has increased due to reduced wind speed. Delhi's AQI crossed 300 on Thursday. According to the Air Quality Early Warning System for Delhi, the average Air Quality Index (AQI) of the capital was recorded at 326 on Friday morning.

 

 

According to the data of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) at 7 am, AQI was recorded at 347 in Alipur, Anand Vihar at 386, Ashok Vihar at 374, Aya Nagar at 255, Bawana at 365, Burari at 350, and Chandni Chowk area at 362.

 

 

On the other hand, AQI was recorded at 361 in DTU, 335 in Dwarka Sector 8, 243 in IGI Airport T3 area, 354 in ITO, 401 in Jahangirpuri, 274 in Lodhi Road, 371 in Mundka, 228 in Najafgarh, 360 in Punjabi Bagh, 384 in Rohini, 384 in Vivek Vihar, 338 in Sonia Vihar, 338 in RK Puram, 382 in Wazirpur.

 

 

The air quality will remain 'very poor' until Saturday.

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has predicted that the air quality will remain in the 'very poor' category until Saturday. This will cause problems for respiratory patients. People may also experience eye irritation. Furthermore, air quality in several areas has been recorded in the severe and very poor categories.
