Chief Minister Kejriwal, who arrived at the Chhatrasal Stadium in Delhi to inaugurate the Government Drive-Through Vaccination Center starting today, has once again requested the Center that the Central Government should purchase the vaccine and make it available to the states at the earliest. He said that this is not the time for accusations but counter-acts. In such a situation, the Center and states will have to work together.
He also said that in the last 24 hours, there have been around 900 cases of Corona. He said that this is the first time in the second wave of Corona that less than 1000 cases have been reported in a day.
Kejriwal announced on Friday that the process of gradually ending the lockdown would begin in the national capital from Monday and allow construction activities and factories to be opened for a week. The process of removing the lockdown in a phased manner in Delhi, which has been affected by the second wave of infection, is taking place after the lockdown was implemented for more than six weeks.
Kejriwal said on the sidelines of a program, “There have been around 900 cases in Delhi in the last 24 hours. The number of new infections is below 1,000 and the infection rate has come down, so we will start more activities. We want the economic activity to come back on track. '
Kejriwal inspected a Covid-19 vaccination campaign center located at the Chhatrasal Stadium. The arrangement of this center has been made in such a way that people will be able to get vaccinated sitting in their vehicles.
He said people can come to this center by car or motorcycle. People are also coming on foot. As soon as we supply vaccines to people in the age group of 18-44, this arrangement will start for them as well. The Delhi government has issued a Letter of Interest (EOI) globally for the purchase of the Covid-19 vaccine on an immediate basis.
"We have tendered globally and hope that some companies will come," he told reporters. Various governments have floated global tenders but the results are not very good. It would be nice if some companies contact us. But my understanding is that companies of the world want to talk to the central government about the purchase of vaccines.
