This explosion occurred at a time when police had seized 2,900 kilograms of RDX in Faridabad, adjacent to Delhi. The powerful blast in Delhi immediately following this has raised many questions.
According to Delhi Police sources, the car blast in front of the Red Fort may also have a connection to the Faridabad module. The driver of the car has been identified as Umar Mohammad, a doctor by profession and a resident of Pulwama.
What clues did the initial investigation reveal?
After the initial investigation, the police suspect that ammonium nitrate, fuel oil, and detonators were used in the blast. However, a definitive statement on this matter can only be made after the full report is released.
