Delhi University (DU) released the second allotment list for undergraduate admissions at 10 pm on Sunday. Under this, seats have been allotted to those students who had opted for the upgrade. Students now have to accept these seats. Failure to do so will result in the exclusion of the student from the admission process. At the same time, students have two days to accept the seats. The option of accepting seats will remain open till November 1.
DU was to release the second list of Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) by 5 pm earlier. However, due to some reasons, the administration released the information on the website and fixed the time of the release of the list at 10 pm. DU had given a chance to the students to upgrade their seats under the first phase. Under this, more than 35 thousand students had opted to fill the vacant seats according to their preference regarding college and course.
The point to be noted here is that for the students who have been allotted seats for the second phase, their seats selected in the first phase are automatically canceled. Students will now have the option to freeze the seat under this phase and upgrade the seat till the third phase if the seats remain vacant. Students will be out of the admission process if they do not lock their seats and deposit the fees. If seats remain vacant on opting for an upgrade, a third allotment list will be issued.
Seats can be accepted from October 31 to November 1
According to DU, students who have got seats can accept seats from 10 am on Monday to 4.59 pm on Tuesday. After accepting the seat, the seat of the students will be confirmed. However, for this, students also have to pay fees. The last date for submission of fees is November 3.
The challenge will increase for the general category students from the third phase
The challenge for general category students will increase from the third phase in DU. Because now there are few seats left in the prestigious colleges and courses of DU. In such a situation, there is a possibility that till the third phase in DU, there are fewer seats left. However, for now, it will be known based on seats left vacant till the second phase.
