There was a dispute between SP candidate Abhay Singh from Gosainganj and Vikas Singh, a supporter of BJP candidate Aarti Tiwari. The incident is from Newakbirpur of the Maharajganj area. During the dispute, both sides have also accused each other of firing and vandalizing vehicles. Meanwhile, media personnel who reached Maharajganj police station after getting information about the incident were also assaulted and harassed. A media person has suffered serious injuries.

This is the third case of dispute between BJP and SP supporters in Gosainganj. Earlier, there has been a dispute between these two sides in Maharajganj and Bikapur. BJP supporters allege that SP supporters entered the police station and created a nuisance, but this has not been confirmed by the police. BJP supporter Vikas Singh says that he was coming home from Newakbirpur after attending an invitation. On the way, in the presence of the SP candidate, his supporters attacked him. Vehicles were vandalized and shots fired. At the same time, SP candidate Abhay Singh says that Vikas Singh and his people were standing with arms on the way. He attacked. After reaching the police station directly from the spot, the information was given to the police. SP supporters have not committed any indecency with policemen or media colleagues in the police station. This allegation is baseless.
