Former Team India head coach Ravi Shastri believes that despite the absence of star players Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja in the team, India has enough depth to win the T20 World Cup in Australia, if they manage to get off to a good start. There are. The former coach also said that in the absence of these players there is also a chance to find a new champion.

India had suffered a major setback before leaving for Australia. The team's star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the World Cup due to a back injury. His replacement will be announced in Australia within a week. Earlier, Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the World Cup due to knee surgery.

Axar Patel has been selected as the replacement team in place of Ravindra Jadeja. On the other hand, Mohammed Shami is one of the strong contenders to replace Jasprit Bumrah. Deepak Hooda, who was out of the recently concluded T20 series against South Africa, has recovered from a back injury.

"It's unfortunate. So much cricket is being played, and players get injured. Bumrah is injured, but it's an opportunity for someone else. There's nothing you can do about an injury," Shastri was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo. "

He added, "I think we have enough strength and we have a good team. I have always believed that if you reach the semi-finals, it can be anyone's tournament. Try and start well, reach the semi-finals, and then you all know you probably have enough power to win the [World] Cup. Bumrah's absence, and Jadeja's absence is a problem for the team, but it is also an opportunity to find a new champion.
