G-20 Meeting: Amitabh Kant said – For the first time developed countries are reacting to the agenda made by India

The series of G-20 meetings under the chairmanship of India has started. Heads of the world's top 20 countries will participate in the summit to be held in September. India is also engaged in making preparations for the presidency of G20 memorable, which will change India as well as show a new direction to the world. Meanwhile, India's Sherpa Amitabh Kant spoke to Dainik Jagran's special correspondents Neelu Ranjan and Rajeev Kumar in the G20, engaged in efforts to build consensus among all countries with an agenda to deal with the current global challenges.

How do we make the G-20 meetings memorable for the world?

Amitabh Kant said that these meetings will always be remembered as they will be transformative. These meetings will change India as well as guide the world. G-20 is different from other meetings. This will last for the whole year. 215 meetings of G-20 will be held in 56 cities of the country. These cities will get a chance to transform completely. All the states and union territories will get a chance to present their cultural heritage, cuisine, and handicrafts to the world during this period. Every state will get a chance to make its brand in the country and abroad.

Allegations of political parties and routine meetings are being presented as unique

Answering this question, Kant said that I do not want to go towards politics. Our aim is just to see how we can utilize this opportunity to make an impact on India as well as the world. Do it professionally and do it branding India. Make India stand as an international brand. In the last 75 years, only the developed countries set the agenda and we used to react. This is the first time that India is making the agenda and developed countries are rising on it. This is a huge opportunity to establish India's Narrative.

How much consensus has been reached on the agenda prepared by India?

Amitabh Kant said that it is just the beginning of uniting all the countries. He said that there will be 215 meetings regarding this. These meetings will aim to make a consensus so that we can get our priorities convinced and take them forward.

How will the G-20 overcome the economic challenges posed by Corona and the Ukraine-Russia war?

In response to this question, Kant said that the challenges are huge. Corona has brought 20 crore people below the poverty line. 10 crore people are unemployed. There is a global slowdown in the economy. Climate finance has challenges. Every challenge gives an opportunity. Our effort is to give such leadership with everyone's consent, which can get the world out of these challenges.

Will G-20 know India's success in the delivery of social schemes?

The Indian Sherpa said that everyone is interested in how India made a digital transformation and created a different identity. How India opened a bank account, how India did DBT. How India used Covin. 400 crore people in the world do not have a digital identity. 200 crore people do not have bank accounts. 133 countries do not have fast payment mechanisms. India's technology can be used for these. Our source is open.

The world's digital market is dominated by big tech companies. How can India's model be helpful in such a situation?

Answering the question, Kant said that our model is completely different from America's model. America's model is of big tech companies, in which Amazon, Meta, Facebook, and Google keep all the data. Similarly, China has Tencent and Alibaba. Europe's model is the GDPR model, which focuses on privacy but stifles innovation. Our model is like a railway track. The private sector has been asked to innovate on this track. We are the only country where the Pay phone is competing with Google and Paytm is competing with WhatsApp.

What will India do to get funding to fight climate change?

Kant said that there are two things in this. Firstly, the developed countries did not give what they had to give to the developing countries in 2009. What they have to do for this, and there will also be a discussion on Multi-Lateral Financial Institutions, which do direct lending.
