India has also expressed concern over reports of the Taliban in Afghanistan stopping the admission of girls to universities there. India has said that India has always supported the education of women in Afghanistan. The issue of women's rights is also included in India's demand to give representation to every section of society in the formation of the new government in Afghanistan.

Entry of girls in school banned

Two days back, the Taliban regime issued an order to ban the entry of girls into their universities. This move of the Taliban has been strongly condemned by many countries including America, Britain, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, France, Germany, Japan, and Australia. There is no indication from the Taliban that it is reconsidering its decisions. When asked about this, the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs Arindam Bagchi said that we have seen this very worrying information. India has been demanding a representative government of all classes and communities in Afghanistan, which protects the rights of every citizen there and gives equal rights to women and girls in every field, including education.

talk of giving equal rights to women

Bagchi said that he would also like to remind the resolution 2593 of the United Nations Security Council, which states the importance of equal participation and giving equal rights to women. Let us inform you that resolution 2593 was passed in August 2021, which has been said to protect human rights in Afghanistan, to give representation to all classes in the government, and to give equal rights to women. It also said that the land of Afghanistan should not be used to incite terrorist activities in any third country.
