Odisha accident: In the greed of compensation, dead bodies are disappearing from hospitals by becoming fake relatives, now DNA will reveal the truth

Confusion is on the rise regarding the bodies of those killed in the Bahanga train accident. BMC Commissioner Vijay Amrita Kulange said 33 blood samples have been sent for DNA tests to identify the real members of the family.

Blood samples were sent to AIIMS Delhi

Since there is no DNA testing system in Odisha, it has been sent to AIIMS Delhi under the care of AIIMS Bhubaneswar. AIIMS Bhubaneswar Executive Director Professor Ashutosh Biswas said that we have requested to send the report within a day.

Son in search of the dead father is facing trouble

At AIIMS Bhubaneswar, Parvez Sehard Laska of Jayanagar, West Bengal, introduced himself as the son of Abuboka Laska. According to him, after getting information about the death of his father in the train accident, Bahanaga reached here to collect the dead body. There are photographs of the father's death, but he alleged that someone else had taken the body. Now AIIMS has collected his blood samples for a DNA test. It is said that after the report comes, his father will be identified.

Relatives do not need compensation, just get the address of their loved ones

Similarly, in search of Nitam Rai and Chandan Rai of Malda, their relatives Foni Mandal are engaged. After getting the news of the accident, he visited many areas including Balasore and Soro. From there it is learned that Nitam and Chandan have already died.

The photo of Nitam's body was given to Phoney by the Balasore administration but there was no number on it so neither Odisha nor West Bengal government helpdesk is cooperating with them. He's been making rounds of Kim, Sum Hospital, but to no avail. They don't need compensation money, just information about the dead body.

Abdul Wahab Sheikh from West Bengal's 24 Parganas has been searching for his brother Giyauddin Sheikh for five days but he too is hopeless so on the advice of the West Bengal helpdesk, Abdul said he has given his blood sample for a DNA test.

Fake relatives are reaching in greed for compensation

Along with these, there are many such people on the AIIMS campus, who are not able to know the whereabouts of their relatives. They say that someone else has taken the dead bodies of their relatives. Many people have brought photographs of the bodies of their loved ones from Balasore. The tag number of the photo is also being checked by the AIIMS help desk.

Despite this, the photo is not found in the list. Many of the pictures don't even have tag numbers. Many fake relatives have also arrived as railways are paying ex-gratia for the dead so arrangements have been made for DNA tests to pay ex-gratia along with handing over the dead body of the family to the proper person.
