Gadkari gave a new offer to Elon Musk, now Tesla vehicles will be made in India?

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that if US-based electric vehicle maker Tesla makes its electric vehicles in India, then it will also benefit the company. The Road Transport and Highways Minister said in a program on Monday that the day is not far when the price of all-electric vehicles in the country will be less than the price of petrol vehicles.

 

He said, "If Tesla makes electric cars in India, then they will also benefit." ''But the company should not import cars from China.

He had said at the Raisina Dialogue, "If Elon Musk (Tesla's CEO) is ready to make a car in India, then no problem... Can export.

 

Last year, the heavy industry ministry told Tesla that the company must start production of its electric vehicles in India before the government can consider any tax concessions.
