Ganga water reduced by 105 cm in 3 days: Boating still banned; Heavy rain may occur in Varanasi today

The water level of Ganga has come down for the third day today. According to the report of the Central Water Commission, the water level of the Ganges stood at 65.3 meters till 8 am today. The water level has decreased by 44 cm since yesterday. At the same time, the water level of the Ganga has reduced by 105 cm in the last three days.

 

Despite the scarcity of water, the Ganges is in spate. Boating is banned. At the same time, given the danger, now the operation of the cruise has also been banned. The world-famous aarti of Ganga is now being performed by an archaka. The cremation sites of Manikarnika and Harishchandra Ghat are still filled with water. The entire 84 ghats of Kashi are not visible yet. Namo Ghat is the only ghat in Varanasi that has not submerged due to the rise in the water level of the Ganges. There is a huge crowd of those who are unable to roam on other ghats.

Strong sunshine today after one hour of rain

 

The weather has returned to normal in Varanasi after one hour of rain yesterday. It has been sunny since this morning. At the same time, the Mess Science Department has not released any data on yesterday's rain. According to the department, there may be rain in Varanasi till August 5. BHU meteorologist Professor Manoj Kumar Srivastava says, "There is a possibility of rain in Varanasi after noon today. Rain may be fine.

 

3-degree climb minimum temperature

 

The minimum temperature of Varanasi rose by 3 degrees yesterday after rain. Yesterday it was 24 degrees Celsius, whereas today it was 27 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature went down to 33 degrees Celsius, two notches lower than yesterday. The humidity in the air has been recorded as up to 98%. The wind speed was 6 kmph.
