Gyanvapi Masjid Case: Can a fountain run without electricity, know what experts say?

District Judge will now hear the Gyanvapi campus case of Varanasi. After the survey, the Hindu side claimed that a Shivling has been found inside. Some pictures of it have also surfaced. At the same time, the Muslim side is calling it a fountain.

In such a situation, the question is whether the fountain was built at the time of Aurangzeb's construction or was built later? Can a fountain run without electricity?

First, know what is the claim of the Muslim side?

In the report filed in the court, it has been claimed that on the claim of the Shivling of the plaintiff, the Muslim side called it a fountain. On this, the Special Advocate Commissioner asked the Munshi Ejaz Mohammad of Anjuman Inazaniya Masajid Committee since when has this fountain been closed? On this, his first reply came that 20 years and then he told that it is closed for 12 years. He also expressed his inability to show the fountain by turning it on. In the depth of that figure, a hole of just less than half an inch was found in the middle, which was 63 cm deep.

Can a fountain run without electricity?

To know the answer, we asked the director of Kannauj Engineering College and expert in electronics engineering, Prof. Contact Manoj Shukla. Pro. Shukla says, “It is possible to have a fountain without electricity, but for this, water is first sent down from a height of about 200 to 300 feet. The pressure was created when the water came down rapidly and then if there is a hole then water can come out in the form of a fountain.

Pro. Shukla further says, 'Looking at the video and picture that has come out of Gyanvapi so far, it does not seem that this technique would have been used there. There is no tall tank around. In such a situation, to know its truth in the true sense, the place where the Shivling or fountain is being claimed should be investigated by going down there. It should be checked whether there is any pipe system inside or not. If so, where did the water come from? What is a system of pipes in the middle of what is called a fountain? If yes, what are its length and breadth? It will be clear only after all this investigation is done how true is the claim of the Muslim side? It can also be checked through ultrasound equipment.

Could a fountain have been built during the Mughal period?

To know the answer to this question, we talked to Dr. RP Tiwari, Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Motilal Nehru Institute of Technology (MNNIT), Prayagraj. He said, 'The Mughal invaders came from Arab countries. There has always been a water crisis there. All the Mughal rulers who were there used to copy Arabia only here. So the question of making a fountain does not arise.

Pro. Tiwari further says, 'I have seen Gyanvapi Masjid closely. As a civil engineer, I can say with certainty that the domes of the mosque have been built on the walls of the temple. Its structure can be clearly understood. At the same time, if we talk about fountains, then whatever fountain will be built above the ground. There can be no justification for building it below ground.

What has happened in this case so far?

The matter was heard in three different courts. The trial is still going on in the first local court. Here the court commissioner has submitted the report of the survey. The second hearing is going on in the Allahabad High Court. The court adjourned the hearing of the case till July 6. At the same time, the Supreme Court, hearing the petition of the Muslim side, has transferred the Gyanvapi case to the district court of Varanasi.

The Supreme Court on Friday ordered that an experienced and senior judge will hear the matter. The court ordered that its interim order of May 17 to protect and allow prayers at the place where the Shivling is being claimed to be found will remain intact. The petition of the Masjid Committee will be heard in the district court on a priority basis. With this, the court has decided to hold the next hearing of the case in the second week of July after the summer vacation. This means now it will be heard first in the district court itself.

What is said in the survey report?

On the demand of regular darshan-worship of Shringar Gauri and protection of other Deities, the report of the proceedings of the commission under the leadership of Special Advocate Commissioner Vishal Singh from May 14 to 16 at Gyanvapi Masjid has been submitted to the court. It has been claimed in this report that the figure found in Vajukhana is like Shivling.

Signs of elephant's trunk, trident, betel, and bells are present inside the mosque, and mantras are also being written on the wall.

The distance between the Nandi sitting outside and the pool found inside (the place of Shivling on the plaintiff side) is 83 feet three inches.

63 cm depth was found by inserting a sink in the circular-shaped stone (Shivalinga of the plaintiff) situated in the middle of the kund.

The diameter of the base of the circular shape of the stone is four feet, the height is 2.5 feet, and there are five grooves made in five directions at the top.

Three conical spire structures are present under the three outer domes, the height of the conical spire is 2.5 feet and the diameter at the bottom is 22 feet.

A complete resemblance is being claimed between the photographs of the zigzag walls and pillars described in the books of James Prinsep and AS Altekar and the size present on the spot.
