Heavy rain alert in 7 states for next 24 hours: Heavy rain likely in these states including UP, Delhi, schools-colleges in Telangana closed for 3 days

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light to heavy rains in most states of the country in the next 24 hours. There is a possibility of heavy rain in many areas of Delhi, Uttarakhand, UP, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh. At the same time, heavy to very heavy rains are likely in Karnataka and Telangana on July 12 and 13. It may also rain in some areas of Jammu and Kashmir today.

 

A red alert has also been issued in the southern states of Karnataka and Telangana regarding heavy rains. After the red alert, Telangana Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao appealed to the people to take precautions and stay at home. At the same time, due to the possibility of rain, all schools and colleges have been closed for the next three days from Monday. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh from July 10 to 13. Along with this, rain may also occur in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and North Uttar Pradesh today. Heavy rains occurred in many areas of Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Haryana. The Meteorological Department has predicted the continuation of active monsoon over central India and the west coast for the next five days. Due to this, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Punjab, Haryana, and North Uttar Pradesh.

 

Flood havoc in Maharashtra

 

Monsoon has brought respite from the humidity and heat in North and West India, but floods have thrown life out of gear in many areas. In the last 24 hours, 9 people died due to 9 spots of rain in Maharashtra. At the same time, due to heavy rains in the Gadchiroli district, contact with 128 villages has been lost. Gadchiroli, Hingoli, and Nanded districts of the Marathwada region have also been affected by heavy rains.

 

Flood in Himachal's Kullu and Chamba

 

Two flash floods were reported at different places in the Kullu and Chamba districts of Himachal Pradesh on Saturday evening. It said that there is no report of any casualty. Five people died in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday due to lightning. On the other hand, high-tech equipment and sniffer dogs are being used to expedite the rescue operations near the Amarnath cave temple.

 

Madhya Pradesh: It rained heavily in Bhopal...

 

It rained in Bhopal on Saturday night. Heavy rain for about an hour made Bhopal water-water. During 24 hours, Bhopal has seen the highest ever five and a half inches of water. This is the highest rainfall in Bhopal so far this season. Lightning fell in many areas. A family was rescued by a fire team after water filled a private settlement in the Gandhi Nagar area.

 

This was the condition of half the city. From Shahjahanabad to Karond, Ashoka Garden, Aishbagh, Jahangirabad, and Gandhi Nagar, rainwater entered the houses in most of the low-lying areas.

 

Chhattisgarh: It will be cloudy, and rain will continue

 

Since the arrival of the monsoon in Chhattisgarh till now, there has been a lot of rain in the Durg district on Saturday. It has been raining intermittently from morning till late at night. 70.8 mm of rain fell within 24 hours. In this, 56.6 mm of water fell in two hours of torrential rain in the afternoon. The streets of the city were inundated due to the rain. However, it is still far from the average rainfall figure.

 

Light to moderate rain is also expected on July 10 due to active Trough, Low Pressure, and Cyclone three systems. Heavy rain may occur in some places. For the next two days, the sky will remain cloudy and it will rain.

 

Rajasthan: Monsoon changed the whole math this time

 

In Rajasthan, this time monsoon came from Bharatpur, Alwar, and Kota on new routes except for Jhalawar-Dungarpur. It has changed the whole math of rain. In the districts where the monsoon used to reach the earliest, this time it reached the least and the rain was also the least.

 

At the same time, the period of smoky rain is continuing in the western districts. According to the Water Resources Department, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, and Churu, Nagaur received 99 to 186% more rain this time. At the same time, Bhilwara, Pratapgarh, and Banswara, which have the highest rainfall, have received less water from 22 to 32%.
