Like other patients, there is no need to admit infants to the hospital in case of high fever. Admit children to the hospital only on the advice of the doctor. He stressed that there is a need to be vigilant instead of being more panicked about Corona. The guidelines need to be followed strictly. He said that two-year-old children are in the high-risk zone. The severity of infection in them is similar to that of the delta variant.
4- Dr. Arora says that the severity of infection in adults is less than that of the delta variant. He said that the Omicron virus mainly affects the upper respiratory tract of the patient. Therefore, symptoms like cold, headache, runny nose are seen in it. Apart from this, fever also comes with shivering. He said that unlike the second wave of coronavirus, loss of taste and smell is not very common in Omicron patients. He said that only two or three out of ten patients are complaining of loss of smell and taste.
